Request a new release in hex.pm

Open zhihuizhang17 opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

Description of issue

The most recent version on hex.pm is v3.7.11, which was released on March 24, 2023. Since then, there have been several new features and fixes implemented. Therefore, I'd like to request a new version release on hex.pm. Thanks!

A new release would be great so we can get rid of the compiler warnings in Elixir 1.17 🙏

Thanks!

Seconded! With the arrival of 1.18 RC, more people will be tempted to upgrade. I am interested specifically into getting rid of the compiler warnings, like @jaimeiniesta 😄

If we can help in any way, let us know!

Thank you!

For now I'm using:

{:timex, "~> 3.7", github: "bitwalker/timex", ref: "cc649c7a5", override: true},

(locked on the latest commit SHA at the time of this writing)

+1 to release hex.pm. More than 2 years without official releases it's too much for such popular library

@bitwalker anything we can do to help get a new release published? Any chance of getting another hex.pm maintainer to help with this one?

I should be able to make time this afternoon. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to stay on top of my Elixir projects for a while now, so apologies for the delay!

I'm open to adding more maintainers, but in the past there hasn't been much interest.

My level of interest would be limited to updating for newer elixir/otp warnings whenever we upgrade our code bases, otherwise I wouldn't engage on it outside of my own time frames for such. If that is helpful, feel free to add me.
