Payment Protocol only works for merchants integrating bitpay.com

It seems like Copay only trust payment requests from bitpay.com If the payment request comes from other website like www.coinbase.com, Copay will ignore it.

I tested it in both iOS version and Windows version, and they have the same issue.

I just want to know if this is by design or a bug, and if it's a bug, can it be fixed.

Any updates on this one? I still have the same problem. BitPay Android application can only open Bitcoin Payment Protocol invoices from bitpay.com not from any other domain.

I tried to enter this: bitcoincash:?r=https://www.kuuvault.com/api/invoices/331554995930399307 as the payment address but I got the following error I own kuuvault.com and by looking at the logs BitPay never even made the payment request.
