Cannot send bitcoin from old Copay joint wallet: invalid derivation path

Hi, a friend and I set up a 2 of 2 joint wallet using Copay in 2015. We were successfully able to send coins from this wallet until at least 2018. However today when we try creating a transaction with the latest version of Copay for iOS (v10.0.10) we both get a message:

Could not send payment

Invalid derivation path: m/undefined'/0'/0'

We re-imported backups using the Import Wallet feature and pasting the plain text backup codes. The balance of the wallet appears correct and it shows past transactions. We are sending to a standard bitcoin address.

Could you please advise how to recover the funds from this wallet?
