BTC lost
Hi. My BTC amount is lost when I login to my Copay Wallet. Can you advice on this matter
Hello,
-
Please send us the BitPay/Copay Wallet ID and the transaction hash / ID or the link so we can further investigate and address your inquiry.
-
To get your Wallet ID, open your Copay/BitPay application, then go to
Settings> [Your wallet] >More Options>Wallet Information. On your phone, if you tap on the wallet ID it will copy it to the clipboard so you can paste it in your e-mail. You can do the same on your computer by clicking on the wallet ID. -
The transaction hash / ID is a alphanumeric chain like this: d0a23876de7cf87574b5cda7557bcc8af5d84f3fd1e6f4c6063fd6b72b0e69ae
We look forward to hearing from you.
I lost all my BTC in my wallet. All transactions records also disappear. Please help investigate. My wallet ID is
62f655c1-68db-49f2-8415-f437d69fdafb
Hello @pawinf
The wallet 62f655c1-68db-49f2-8415-f437d69fdafb has been created today and has no transactions, therefore, it has no funds.
You must be looking on a different wallet. Please check your other wallets.
Kind regards.
That’s why it looks really weird. This wallet ID I copied it from the wallet I imported using my recovery phrases. After importing is succeed, I checked again the recovery phrases they are still the same and correct.
Please see the screenshot of the balance and the latest transaction I did as below.

Hello @pawinf
The wallet you show on the screenshot is a different wallet, its ID is 77f5d61d-83b9-4c3b-8d79-cafe5c7f9c75.
So what you need to do is find that specific wallet, that means, finding its recovery phrase and import it in Copay. If you have many recovery phrases simply import all of them in the Copay app and check their wallet IDs.
If you don't have the recovery phrase of the wallet, there is no way to recover it.
Kind regards.
Hello @Isqanshah
The wallet 32ac2a48-5e78-47aa-8184-870a37ee89ff has no transactions, then no funds. The BTC were sent to f2480518-c17c-420b-945e-989638e6d092 they remain in that wallet as you can see here.

Hello @omar1326
Do you need any help?
As I explained earlier. That ID number which you said that it’s completely new and has just been created, It has exactly the same recovery phrases as my old wallet which used to contain all my BTC. How could this happened?
And where is my wallet now? How can I then access to it (captured screen). Please help.
Yes, Please help.
Now I don't know what to do. According to you, my wallet just suddenly disappeared and was replaced by the new empty one.
Best regards, Pawin F.

Hello @pawinf There are two possibilities in your case:
-
You do not have the recovery phrase of the wallet that has funds.
-
There is some kind of "issue" on the app (you are somehow not restoring the same wallet).
For number 1, there is clearly nothing to do and there is no way we can help out.
For number 2, if the recovery phrase matches the wallet that has funds, as you affirm, then you should be able to recover the funds by other means.
For that, please try our recovery tool. To know how to do it refer to #9540.
Kind regards.

Hi,
I proceeded your suggestion. The tool found my wallet; however, the result was the same. It was the new created empty wallet.
Something is wrong here. I only have one set of recovery phrase, how could I mistaken it with others. Please help.

transaction id: 5345574eb037202d114d5ae1ab12da4d3ddcccbf0ddfd7bd7d2d6201b35074f3
0.123802 BTC from my friend's wallet was transferred to mine, the one I'm referring to. There's no way that my wallet could be empty.
