Recover USDT sent to BTC/BCH wallet

Hi. I am writing this text message because I got some problems. So I made withdrawal yesterday from Binance platform to bitcoin wallet ( the guy I sent money has an account in your platform).

I sent tetherUS (around 90$) to bitcoin wallet — that’s the problem.

Now those money I don’t have on my account and the guy I was sending money didn’t get it.

I already texted to Binance and tether.to support but they could not help me just both of them recommended to text you as a receiving party platform.

Could you please help me with it?

Hello @Yuliannn

Our wallet does not support USDT and we do not have tools to recover unsupported coins.

You will need to know to what address the funds have been sent. If you are not sure, you can look for all your receiving addresses here and see to what address the funds have gone.

Please try the following:

Firstly, create an OmniWallet account. To do so click the Create orange button on the top pane.

Once you have created the wallet, enter the 12-word recovery phrase of the wallet that has received the USDT here you can use the offline version for more security. Do not use capitals.

Scroll down and you will see a Derived addresses section.

What you need here is to see the address that received the funds. Use the Show field in the bottom and click more rows. Once you have found the address (second column from the left) copy its private key (last column), you will use it to import the address on OmniWallet.

Omniwallet

• Log into your wallet.
• Click My addresses (top pane)
• Click Add Address > Import Address With Private Key
• Paste the private key you have copied previously from IAnColeman.io
• Click Add Address

Now you should see the address with the funds available, to know how, check their FAQ.
