I can't solve the issue
Describe your issue as much as you can
Make my backup to google cloud:
- Bitnami package for WordPress 6.4.3-5
- Linux 5.10.0-28-cloud-amd64 1 SMP Debian 5.10.209-2 x86_64
Then restore the backup to Google Cloud:
- Bitnami package for WordPress 6.5.2
- Linux 6.1.0-20-cloud-amd64 1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.85-1 x86_64
I followed the steps in the documentation
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh stop
sudo mv /opt/bitnami /tmp/bitnami-backup
sudo tar -pxzvf application-backup.tar.gz -C /
sudo tar -pxzvf application-bin.tar.gz -C /
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh start
At the time of making
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh start
I get the following error

Hi @MeiselMoya,
Thanks for using Bitnami. We changed the way of building/initializing our Google Cloud images, and therefore the guide you are using is not valid to migrate data between those instances. Also notice that migrating the data that way, you are replacing the Bitnami installation in the new instance with the binaries from the old installation, so you won't benefit from newer versions of Apache, PHP and the rest of elements in the Bitnami folder (which in some cases may fix security issues).
We recommend you to restore the new image to its previous state (or simply launch a new one), and migrate WordPress data only by following the guide linked below
https://docs.bitnami.com/google/how-to/migrate-wordpress/
Hope it helps!
Hello @MeiselMoya CostcoESS
It seems you’re encountering issues while restoring a backup of your WordPress application using the Bitnami package on Google Cloud Platform. Let’s troubleshoot the problem step by step:
Missing libcloud.sh Script: The error message indicates that the libcloud.sh script is missing: /bin/bash: line 1: /opt/bitnami/scripts/libcloud.sh: No such file or directory. Verify that the libcloud.sh script exists in the specified location (/opt/bitnami/scripts/). If it’s missing, you might need to reinstall or update the Bitnami package. Check Backup Files: Ensure that the backup files (application-backup.tar.gz and application-bin.tar.gz) are correctly created and contain the necessary data. Confirm that the backup files are accessible and not corrupted. Permissions and Ownership: When restoring, maintain the original permissions for files and folders. Check if the restored files are owned by the correct user (e.g., root) as per the original installation. Review the Backup Process: Double-check the steps you followed during the backup process. Make sure you stopped all servers before creating the backup. Apache Configuration Issues: The Apache error log shows some warnings related to undefined array keys and denied access to /opt/bitnami/phpmyadmin/index.php. Investigate these issues further. Check your Apache configuration files and ensure that everything is set up correctly. Server Ports Accessibility: The diagnostic tool flagged that server ports 22, 80, and/or 443 are not publicly accessible. Follow the guide to open server ports for remote access: Open Server Ports Guide. Review Documentation: Revisit the official Bitnami documentation for creating and restoring backups: Create and Restore Application Backups. Bitnami Community Support: Consider posting your issue on the Bitnami Community Forum for additional assistance. Other users and Bitnami experts might have encountered similar problems and can provide insights.
