Support for BitTorrent v2 file hash search

As I understand, BitTorrent v2 support is planned for future release. Could you please specify the features you have in mind? Additionally, will it be possible to search for file hashes (Merkle root) extracted from hybrid and v2 files?

Thanks @kovalensky . Support for v2 is currently way down the roadmap as it will present a significant technical challenge for (currently) relatively little benefit as far as I can tell. Main issues I can see are:

• the anacrolix/torrent library on which Bitmagnet depends does not yet support v2 (see https://github.com/anacrolix/torrent/issues/175)
• from what little information I can find there are next to no v2 torrents to be discovered on DHT
• generally all v2 torrents are available in hybrid format and so are compatible with v1 anyway

The situation may change as adoption creeps upwards so am happy to leave this open; if there's any value-added that I've overlooked here then please let me know and feel free to +1 this issue...
