Anyone around at @bitly?

Something like #41 needs to get merged and the package needs to get updated on pypi

I can confirm #41 fixes it for me on python 3.6

Maybe we should fork if nobody at bit.ly is maintaining this anymore.

This repo seems abandoned by its original creator. I have cloned it and merged in at least some pull requests here: https://github.com/jimmy927/bitly-api-python

At the writing point in time i got it working.

@jimmy927 Seems to make sense. If you want to maintain an (semi-)official repo you can also make an issue here to direct people to it.

If you want you can also make an issue to add members to the github project/pypi project
