Bug: Can't install EQMac. Can't install drivers
Like the title says, I can't install the EQMac program since it needs administrator permission, which I do have, but the program keeps saying: "Asking for System Administrator privileges" and then an error pops up in red at the top of the screen which says: "Error Failed to Install Driver".
Steps to Reproduce Like I said, this problem is only happening when I try to install the program. So I open the program and click "install driver" wait a few seconds, and then the error pops up.
Expected behaviour Well I expected it to install the drivers lol, but not really working.
Setup information: I'm trying to run the program on my Macbook Air 13" 17 with MacOS 12.3.1 Not sure which version of EQMac I'm trying to install, but it's the latest one when I'm writing this (2nd August 2023)
Screenshots or Console.app logs Since I have 0 knowledge on how to get this type of information (I have a feeling this might be important...) if it's needed, please give a tutorial in the comments on how to get the console logs.
Hi, after you click "Install Driver", a password prompt should appear asking for your admin password. Did that not appear in your case?
Hi there - I have a similar issue. I find I'm often getting crashes of eqmac through the day. I use Apple Music primarily, and listen through a FiiO K7 external amp. I find about 40% of the time if I click on eqmac in the menu bar it may not be actively eqing the audio. I'll try to cycle the software with the arrow icon on the bottom left corner of the interface, and then I often get a request to re-install audio drivers, which usually doesn't work or crashes.
It's become a fairly frequent occurrence. I'm running Sonoma 14.0, so I expect that might have something to do with it, but this happened fairly regularly before I installed the beta. I'm running eqmac 1.7.10
