pi status - temp / cpu % / ram / sd %

Open millsemillse opened this issue 4 years ago • 8 comments

Hey there! Would'nt it be great for headless pi's to have direct feedbacks showing on buttons, to show the actual system performance as a module?

so in my head, 4 feedback functions temp / cpu % / ram / sd %

have a nice day! millse

This is only going to be achievable by a modification to the Companion core, so I'm going to transfer it back over there as a feature request.

+1 Im also looking for a way to display CPU temp.

Command on RPI: /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp

I am preparing my servers in this way ... even if I have to refine some information, for example I would like to add a line with the version of the OS and the Companion server.

I think this is now possible through a workaround. The execute shell command action can write the result to a custom-variable.

Leaving this open to do the proper solution

This is possible in beta build 4708.

We are using the library https://systeminformation.io/, so many more information is available if wanted

I am reverting this as it has caused some performance issues #2139. I don't know if its a problem with that library or in general collecting of the stats.

On macos, I noticed a 5% cpu increase (after removing filesystem info). On windows, it easily got to 100% cpu. Linux appears to be minimally impacted, but I dont want to risk issues and want it to be consistent across platforms

Bumping this post again. would be a great option.

even just to pull the CPU temp as a variable would be incredible

Bumping this post as well, as being able to use the CPU temp as a variable would be super useful
