We are using TeamSpeak via LAN/Internet during some broadcast productions. So I tried to set the "push to talk" button in companion - but without success.

So it would be great to have some standard functions integrated:

  • push-to-talk button
  • switching to previous/next or pre-defined chat-groups

Do you control TeamSpeak via TCP/UDP or is it just an application running without control possibilities?

This is just the teamspeak application running on a windows or mac. I tried to set the hotkey for "talking" inside the teamspeak app, but that doesn't work.

Any news ? Maybe just use already existing connection with TCP and Query keys from https://www.myteamspeak.com/addons/943dd816-7ef2-48d7-82b8-d60c3b9b10b3 ?

Alright.

So version 5 of TeamSpeak supports "Remote Apps". This is a small API which informs the Remote App over different events and which allows (at the moment) only to trigger Key shortcuts. Therefore only the following actions could be implemented:

Push2Talk Push2Mute Toggle Microphone Toggle Speaker Toggle AFK Reply last Whisperer Quick Whisper to selected Whisper to List

Channel switches, etc. are not possible at the moment (if I analyzed that correctly). Also the setup of the KeyBindings needs to be setup in TeamSpeak for the Companion Module - this is not ideal but it seems like the TeamSpeak team was not really expanding the Remote Apps functionalities in the last year.
