BTC Map & map.bitcoin.org
FAO @Cobra-Bitcoin,
Would you consider pointing map.bitcoin.org to btcmap.org?
We BTC Map are currently competing in search with map.bitcoin.com.
We are a fully open source and open data project run by Bitcoiners.
A subdomain redirect is quite a big ask. You could start with creating links from bitcoin.org itself with an anchor text like "bitcoin map". A good place for to begin would be https://bitcoin.org/en/spend-bitcoin. One well placed link from the main site is worth hundreds of links from other sites. But it seems like there are other services struggling to compete with the .com on similar keywords. I don't know why Google places so much weight on that site!
It is a big ask!
I wasn't aware of that page, thx for flagging. Most of those linked websites have quite a bit of out-of-date content and have 'crypto' leanings.
So, should we open a PR to get listed on /spend-bitcoin to begin with?
BTW. All of our data is being held on OpenStreetMap and so is fully open source.

Would you consider the request for the subdomain redirect further?
Pointingmap.bitcoin.org to the best maintained bitcoin-only map would help a lot in the fight for traffic against map.bitcoin.com.
BTC Map has a lot of support globally from the Bitcoin community.
Please could you review (and merge) the PR.
We have now been approached by bitcoin.com to be listed, which we obviously won't do (although they are free to use 'our' data as it's open data.
@dadofsambonzuki The .com isn't even really a Bitcoin site.
I've re-run the tests on the PR. It'll get merged once they pass.
Thanks for merging the link from the page a while back. It's had an impact with bitcoin.org now in our top referral domains, showing the power of this domain.
Under what (if any) conditions would you consider a map.bitcoin.org subdomain redirect?
