Q: safe to put windows pc to sleep when running a full node?

Not an issue but a question:

When running the BITCOIN CORE on a Windows 10/11 PC (blockchain up to date) is it SAFE to put the PC into sleep / hibernate / suspend-to-RAM states for a few hours? Or is it always better / necessary to shut down the bitcoin core, before putting the pc to sleep?
