100% brightness triggered at startup

I set regular backups every hour and it's not very comfortable when the screen goes to 100% brightness each time a new backintime instance is triggered (especially at night, when I set the screen brightness to 0%).

May it be related to the setting that disables new instances while on battery? I didn't check disabling that option though, I guess I should...

I don't think this has something to do with Disable snapshots when on battery.

I guess, this is because BiT will inhibit suspend/idle while creating a new snapshot.

Inhibit suspend/idle shouldn't per se affect brightness. I use Caffeine plus and can do it without changing current brightness status.
