SSH errors not reflected in the GUI

Hi, I'm running Backintime 1.2.0_pre20180221 on Gentoo. And had the following situation:

Backintime was running fine and apparently suddenly stopped working. Clicking the icon in Gnome lead to a loading circle, but it vanished without any window opening and running "backintime" on the CLI only printed version and licence information, while backintime-qt addtionally said "The application is already running! (pid: 21895)".

Only when I killed the running backintime processes and ran backintime-qt in the CLI once again, I was prompted

The authenticity of host '192.168.x.x (192.168.x.x)' can't be established. ECDSA key fingerprint is SHA256:. Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)?

and realized I accidentally had removed this address from known_hosts.

I suggest to handle this problem in a more visibile error, preferably in a GUI window.
