"Error in socket I/O " (rsync exit code 10) means out of space

Open buhtz opened this issue 9 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the problem, feature or ask a question:

I ran a backup but run out of storage space. Rsync exit code was 10. The error was a WARNING in BIT terminal output. I used the CLI on an headless server.

Situation needs some investigation.

  • I wonder why this is a WARNING instead of ERROR in terminal output.
  • The message could be improved to indicate that storage space problem.
  • Not sure if the snapshot was marked with "ERROR" or not. Didn't checked that.
