User experience: 0BSQ balance shown during delay in Bisq node communication

A day or two after the DAO launch, the software showed 0BSQ balance in my wallet while there was a delay in Bisq node communication. Unfortunately, I did not capture what may have caused this or any other details other than this screenshot.

Suggestion: in future similar cases, would it be possible to show "Your funds can't be displayed now. Please wait." or something like that instead of the 0BSQ balance? I think it will help the user with a nontechnical background to not panic.

+1 First time you see that, it's a bit scaring ! All my BSQs ? gone.

As long as the DAO is still synchronizing, the BSQ balance could indeed show a message like:

  • "Your funds can't be displayed now, please wait", or
  • "Synchronizing DAO in order to determine your BSQ balance, please wait"
  • or similar
