contact groups/aliases for recipient/blacklists
Allow to make named groups of contacts. These groups could be easily added as
recipients or blacklists either per rule or globally. I hope the idea is self
explainatory and doesnt require examples.
The idea actually came to me as a solution to avoid advertising calls and sms
getting logged from known list of numbers. (If used cleverly could also reduce
load on processor as Omnidroid wouldnt need to process them further.)

Kamathln, so did this work for you using omnidroid or did you have to handle it
some other way? Is it a feature that still needs to be added? If so, please
provide an example, I think I understand, but I'm not sure.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, It still needs to be implemented. I have not
added any sms triggered EventHandlers which cant be filtered on content or
user.
Like for example, I want to create handlers which forward all sms and missed
calls to my gmail id too but want to filter out stupid advertisements based on
numbers. That is the number one idea: to have blacklists.
But instead of the programming effort going for a tiny (though important)
feature, I thought an even generalized idea would make worth it. Like I can
have lists - "Family", "Office", "Advertisements", "Clients", which I can then
utilize for sending SMSes or as filters.
* I could quickly add "advertizements" as filter out most of the junk from
getting forwarded to my email.
* If my battery goes low, I can set it to send an sms to all my "family" .
* Basically I can quickly add the "family" list as a filter for commands that
need trust . Like switching on or off my wifi.
* I could set it to send SMS alert to night shift colleagues if I miss a call
from "clients" at night.
