Error in grid.Call(C_textBounds, as.graphicsAnnot(x$label), x$x, x$y

I tried updating ggplot2. Then tried using ggsave(). Tried other solutions with `theme(text = element_blank())` if it was a font issue. But none of them is making any difference.
