Implement Markdown on iOS

:bulb: Idea As discussed on Matrix, it would be great if markdown could be implemented on iOS as the messages sent using markdown don't look great.

I understand that we don't currently have any iOS developer so in the meantime, it might perhaps be worth considering stripping out some things like ** markers and images which aren't recognised so we can at least have clean plain text?
