Starting with 1.4.5 TotalTerminal doesn't launch

On one of my machines running 10.8.2, after I launch TotalTerminal, a Terminal window pops up, but TotalTerminal never hooks into it (i.e., there's no icon in the menu bar and no settings in Terminal's setting menu). There doesn't seem to be anything interesting in console, just: "Terminal not running, launching it". Installing TT 1.4.4 works fine, but 1.4.5 and 1.4.6 doesn't. It seems that maybe this update in 1.4.5 may have broken something?: Implemented new launcher similar to TotalFinder. We should not see AppleScript timeout errors on startup anymore.

Using 1.4.4 for now.

I see the same thing with 1.4.6 on 10.9.1, accompanied by log messages like those below:

8/01/14 11:26:57.403 am TotalTerminal[480]: Terminal is being launched. Waiting 512 seconds before checking it again. 8/01/14 11:26:57.403 am TotalTerminal[480]: Terminal is still being launched. Giving up. Please launch TotalTerminal.app manually or contact [email protected].

This only appears to affect me on first run after a startup - TotalTerminal.app is run from my login items, but Terminal never starts. Running Terminal manually fixes things, and TotalTerminal hooks it. After quitting Terminal.app (with or without manually killing TotalTerminal.app, which likes to stay resident), subsequent launches of TotalTerminal seem to start and hook Terminal fine, and the same is true after logout/login.

1.4.4 works fine in my case as well.
