grub problem

Hi! I get this at the end: grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/clone /dev/sda Installing for arm64-efi platform. grub-install: error: /mnt/clone doesn't look like an EFI partition.

I have ubuntu for raspi installed. How do I find out how I'm booting and how do I get the SSD to boot?
