SKR 1.4 - E0 not working

Running Bugfix 2.0x. on a Prusa clone. 12V power supply. Everything working fine for about a week. Was replacing X carriage and after turning back on, I cannot get E0 to heat. Thermistor is working fine, as is heating cartridge (replaced both just to make sure). Re-flashed board, no luck. Fuses are fine. I don't think it's a configuration issue, as it was working fine.

I then attached the heating cartridge to E1. Before I was able to turn the temperature up, I noticed it getting hot - without a thermistor attached to it! I quickly unplugged the power supply. Just to make sure I was not imagining things, I turned the power back on. Temperature is set to 0, but E1 is quickly heating up again. Unless i'm missing something, I assume the board is defective. Any reason this would not be the case?
