Hello, today I try to spin up my new BTT Octopus V1.1 board with sensorless homing , TMC 2209 in UART. I have jumpers in right position for all drivers. DIAG0 & 1 are connected by jumpers but every time when I try to home, it just trow the error Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register IFCNT. i try different configurations but nothing help. After some tries I move to Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_z' register IFCNT which was not helpfull at all :( .\

FIRMWARE: Klipper v0.10.0-456 PSU: 2x - 24V for Bed and 24V for Board/Drivers Drivers: TMC2209 v1.2

Drivers works fine on a BTT SKR2 with same configuration ( Sensorless - TMC2209 UART ).

UPDATE: Right now only stepper z is working corectly. X,Y and E0 have same issue with UART.

Endstops query is still showing triggered X and Y. Screenshot 2022-06-10 at 14 36 13 Screenshot 2022-06-10 at 14 35 42 Screenshot 2022-06-10 at 14 35 08 Screenshot 2022-06-10 at 14 34 35

I have run into the same problem. It only started when I swapped my Octopus Pro for an Octopus 1.0 board. I have been all over this problem and can't figure it out. One thing I noticed on mine, is that my Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register IFCNT code only came up after flashing my board from a firmware I had put together. With the Octopus Pro, I had used BTT pre-made firmware (USB446) and everything worked fine. Now, I cannot get my machine to work with BTT version of the firmware.

Hello, Unfortunately I have since yesterday exactly the same problem with my SKR 2. Driver TMC 2209. Funny is only it ran well for 3 months now comes this problem. Can no longer home'n. UART pin are all correct. Replacement of the drivers in 2208 brought no improvement. I don't know what else I can do.

I had similar issue and solved . You need to connect "motor input 24v pins in octopus board" directly from power supply ..

Can you define exactly what that means? I am seeing the same error on a new SKIPR board with TMC2209s under fluidd...
