Feature request: Shift-Alt-Click to select box between Cursor and Mouse position

Hi!

I think the topic already says it all.

I'm coming from jEdit where I find myself often to position the cursor at (e.g.) the very first character of a text and then scrollling down (using the scrollbar) to the bottom, clicking with Alt-Shift somewhere in the last line to select a block.

I have the feeiling this is sometimes (in big files) faster than selecting the block with just keyboard.
