Feature request

What is the expected behavior? There should be documentation describing environment variables for multi-channel branch. Without this, I don't know where to start.

What is motivation or use case for adding/changing the behavior? Using the multi-channel branch.

How should this be implemented in your opinion? There should be documentation.
