Every single page on my site is getting CLS errors. All marked Bad.
Expected behavior
paying tons of money every month and the site works
Actual behavior
not a single page is listed as good by google search console. all bad in desktop. BigCommerce take ZERO responsibility. i use the Roots cornerstone theme. the guy that built it says it's BC's fault. any help or suggestions would be great. thanks!
Steps to reproduce behavior
@ButerFlags so sorry to hear you are having issues with your theme. But nothing in the issue description tells us what issue you are running into. Also we have no context into why the theme developer thinks it is BigCommerce fault.
Since BigCommerce supports Cornerstone only if you or the theme developer can replicate the issue on cornerstone and file an issue with some details and if one exists point us to it we will be happy to take a look.
thanks so much for responding!
I use the Roots template sold by BigCommerce. Google is saying that in mobile 225 URLs are Poor. 793 URLs Need Improvement and 0 are good. desktop 962 poor 0 good.
If I Open up one of your pages in Incognito mode in Chrome Then press Command+Option+I (Mac) or Control+Shift+I (Windows, Linux) to open DevTools Then click on “Performance” at the top of the DevTools Menu Click the “record” button on the screen Refresh the page Click the Stop button after it's fully loaded I can see a ton of page shifts in the screen shots in the timeline at the top of the Dev menu, which apparently Google doesn’t like
https://flagsexpress.com/ is the site.
CLS is a pretty tricky issue, I do think there may be a few core issues with image sizes but those kind of conflict with responsive sites. I am not sure if you are still having issues but its probably a solvable problem with a few tweeks here and there.

Your quick search bar is probably the main issue on mobile. Late in the loading process it suddenly appears and pushes everything down.
For the home page you could also pre-size the category images. They cause a layout shift as the images are loaded.
