Cannot pass on privileges
In our lab we use BBB to record a weekly seminar. This has been the case for long enough that the responsibility for the seminar has been transferred. While the basic tools to make the recordings work have been inherited with the access to the room, the following have not:
- Ability to rename recordings
- Ability to change visibility status of recordings
There may be others, but inheritance of these features is essential to passing on management of a room between users within the lab. Is there a menu I may have missed that allows this, or is it simply not possible by default?
What i infer is that you want to transfer a room to another user. The room is having some recordings also. While there are option to rename a recording, transfer a room is not available.
You can share that room with other user, once you do this the user can see the room recordings. Also he can manage room settings and start new meetings. He can even rename recordings + change the visibility
If you want to completely transfer the room to that user, only option you have is to do it manually via db. Go to room db and change the user_id column value. You are done
