Can't give permission "create room" to default role "user"

bbb-role Is it normal or a bug with my install?

It works fine for other roles.

Hi @musyne

Could you please provide more information? I kindly ask you if possible to answer these questions:

  1. Are you using an official greenlight version or a forked one?
  2. What version are you using?
  3. Does this happen rarely, frequently or always?
  4. What role are you using when you attempted to update the User role permissions?
  5. After the role update do you observe any alert banner? If yes then could you please tell us what it says?
  6. Could you provide the logs when the event occurred (log/production.log, browser logs or any thing that you believe it could help get into your application context)?

Can anyone with a working greenlight installation confirm if this toggle can normally stay ON for the default role "User"? I have no problem turning it ON for manually created roles.

The default setting for "Can Create Room" is ON - I confirm this toggle can normally stay ON.

Would you please share the logs from your Rails application?

Please note: Greenlight v3 has been released. With this new version, many of the issues and bugs that were present in v2 have been resolved.

As a result, we will no longer be providing updates or support for v2 (except for major security issues), and we will be closing any outstanding bug reports / feature requests related to v2. While we understand that some of you may still be using v2, we highly encourage you to upgrade to v3 to take advantage of the improved features and stability. If your request/bug still applies to v3, please open a new issue for it
