Send meeting room invetations per email via [Invite] button on home screen
Feature request:
Hi all,
Replace (or supplement) [copy] and [Copy access codes] buttons with [invite per Email] button on main home screen.
To invite participants to a conference, room owners currently have to click on the [copy] button, paste the link into an email, then again need to click on [Copy Access code] (if it exists) and paste it (a 2nd time) to an email. Then one adds some text to the email invitation, before its sent to the conference room participants.
Wouldn’t it be much nicer, if one could instead
#1, define a standard text for the email message, in e.g. Organization -> with the variables %roomUrl%, %RoomAccessCode%, %RoomPhone% and %RoomPhonePin%. This text is used by default, until the user modifies it in their Profile Settings. The default text should be shown in the user profile before the user modifies it to it’s needs.
#2 When the room owner clicks onto the new [invite per Email] button on the main screen, a window pops up with a field “enter email addresses”, where one can enter one, or more email addresses separated by , or ;.
This new feature would make it so much nicer for room owners to invite their users to a conference in a more automated way. Email server information is already set up in the .env file which can be used for this new feature.
It would also be great, if the following feature could be implemented: Feature Request: Force Access code for Rooms #1265 https://github.com/bigbluebutton/greenlight/issues/1265
If for whatever reason it is not possible to add the feature “Force Access code for Rooms”, that one can instead configure a setting in the .env file that an error message pops up that “you must setup an access code for your room before you can invite users via email.” This would of course not be necessary if the upper option is added.

Hello! Unfortunately, we will not be able to devote time into this feature/enhancement request at the moment due to our attention being directed towards Greenlight v3! If this is something you believe that will be beneficial to v3, then we encourage you to please re-create this request once v3 is up and running.

Since we have basically this exact feature wish, since we would like to deprecate two licences each for Zoom and Webex that are used sololy for the need to being able to send invites from inside a running meeting (and the meeting host has no access to our exchange server) we would like to share our interest in such feature.
Would you prefer to actually add a new issue, or would you mind to reopen this one here?
