I must express my frustration with this Docker solution. It is a complete waste of time, as the TURN/STUN functionality simply does not work within the Docker container (AWS or AZURE VMs). The installation login and dashboard will work, but that's about it. Audio / Video integration fails.

I strongly recommend installing on an Ubuntu 20.04 server for a much more reliable and seamless experience. This Docker solution is utterly disappointing and has caused countless hours of effort in trying every possible configuration and combination, all for nothing.

Others have gotten the docker-based deployment to work, but it might be that they have installed it on a server that isn't behind a security group or firewall default.

AWS and Azure will put another layer of networking security between your users and your server. The audio and video require UDP access to work, and if UDP ports are blocked, so will the flow of media.

For those reading this post, you can install BigBlueButton on a server directly using bbb-install.
