Describe the bug Appears when clicking on links

To Reproduce e.g. click on Ribotaper below (but happens with other (all?) tool links) screen shot 2019-01-18 at 2 16 08 pm

Then you get: screen shot 2019-01-18 at 2 04 11 pm

Expected behavior Normal Galaxy view

Desktop (please complete the following information): OSX Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98 Firefox 63.0.3 and 64.0.2

AFAIK, If we change the links to open the tools in a new tab, then it doesn't happen. Is there any other possibility that makes the tools to open in the same tab but not with nested windows? Otherwise, I will add {:target="_blank"} to all the links.

I do not know of a better way at the moment. Please add this for the time being. @erasche do you know of any better way? If not could we please open links in a new tab by default.

target="_top", don't use _blank. We cannot open links in a new tab by default
