Saving file with transparent background in format without transparency (.bmp, .jpg etc) get a black background

Steps to reproduce:

1. create a new file with transparent background
2. draw something like a line or a circle (without filling the whole background)
3. save file in format without transparency (.bmp, .jpg etc)

Expected result: File with white background (easy to paste in MS Office Word document etc)

Actual result: File with black background

Hmm, I suppose the program could propose to choose a color to fill the background with.
