FAQ: Discuss why 'ack *' is bad
From @hoelzro on January 21, 2013 7:35
Using ack with * on the command line is a common anti-pattern that limits ack's true potential and is a source of confusion for users new and old. We should have an FAQ entry that addresses this.
Copied from original issue: petdance/ack2#199
Maybe this should expand into a "how ack differs from grep", and also in the front intro section we need something about how ack is not a replacement for grep or find.
Or better yet, add a section for beginners at the top of the cookbook.
