websocket_message_count vs api_message_count - any idea what the difference is?

Hi All!

Any idea what the difference is between these two stats? I'm showing websocket message count as quite a bit higher, even at idle times but no idea what it means.

this is my question too what the difference is between websocket_message_count and api_message_count

when we broadcast a message to users which of the columns will be updated ?
