Buoy plugin for Django / Plone / some python platform

Provide a buoy plugin with the back end implemented to integrate with a common python-based web framework. Can use the same front-end.

Open questions:

• which python framework is used the most amongst organizations who need tools like this?
• need to outline basic back-end requirements of buoy in a platform-agnostic way.

I have worked a bunch with Django and I've also done some websockets stuff with Tornado (though I understand Django 1.10 has some in-built WS support now). I'd be happy to help if that's the direction this is heading.
