also note that the search results do not newline results correctly, and in fact don't even have a space separating lines. e.g. see the valid results above; the last 3 results show "configurator[nospace]information"

Hi, I was able to replicate this bug as well. When the search plugin is updated, it seems to fix it running with Docusaurus 3.8. Porting over the current docs to 3.8 is not trivial and will take time due to several breaking changes. I'm currently in the process of updating it.
