"QUOTA_BYTES quota exceeded" error and failure to persist added tabsets after Chrome restart

Open emaines opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hi, I've been using Tabsets for a few years with success and really appreciate it.

Recently with a work account it suddenly started failing to persist the added tabsets.

Whenever adding new tabsets, it reports "QUOTA_BYTES quota exceeded", adds it temporarily, but if I restart Chrome, the newly added tabsets are gone, but the old ones are still there.

Note: I'm using multiple profiles for this Chrome browser.

Cheers

This is the result of a failure to save the tabsets to Chrome's synchronised storage. It could be that you've filled that storage (depends on how many tabs and tabsets you have) or maybe your work has put restrictions in place to prevent access to Chrome's synchronised storage. My Tabsets currently total over 15kB in 21 sets. If yours isn't that much, I suspect a restriction imposed by your work network may be the cause.

I have ran into this issue. I was unable to delete any tabsets and removing and reinstalling the extension (no tabsets are currently visible) still results in the error.
