Control for autocenter controlled by wheel
This switch is a feature for thrustmaster devices
fixes #262
This might hide switch for non thrustmaster devices
I added some checks when device is disconnected, but probably all parameters should be disabled and reset if device is disconnected, right now it allows to change values (even without device)
I'm still not sure what this switch does. When it's enabled, it allows to change the autocenter force, and when it's not? It has to do something else to be useful. And the tooltip should explain it.
autocenter controls the force applied enable_autocenter controls if that force is applied or not
enable_autocenter:y
autocenter: 0
is same as:
enable_autocenter:n
autocenter:65535 (or any other value)
You can expect any other thrustmaster wheel to support the same
I guess that the setting in the Windows Thrustmaster panel will prevent games from changing autocenter when that setting is set to "by the wheel". Is this switch doing the same or it's just another way of setting autocenter to zero?
I think they just keep the autocenter value as a config and honor it only if it's autocenter is enabled.
for old games you can config wheel with buttons:
Hold Mode button and press left or right arrow. Red light will flash 3 times for 540, 4 times for 7xx, 5 times for 1080. Have in mind you have to do this after every race starts, even if you retry. It resets back to 1080.
Btw, there are other things you can config externally:
The T150 is also compatible with Thrustmaster pedal sets featuring 3 pedals (sold separately); these allow you to electronically swap the accelerator and clutch pedals. To do so, simply press the MODE button (6) for 2 seconds. The racing wheel’s internal memory stores whether the pedals have been swapped around or not.
Let me do a check if any of this mode button is reflected on t150 driver setup.
If it is: Will oversteer change GUI layout to reflect different wheels config or should wheel implementation adapt to existing GUI? that is:
- 0 autocenter force disable autocenter
or
- t150 has a switch that honors autocenter force whatever that value is
