Stackedit scrambled my file
I use stackedit since March to write on my laptop and two different pc. Since two days, when I write a file on a PC and I sync, I find that file in another pc scrambled. Words are mixed together, some words that I deleted appeared, some new words disappeared. Many lines are mixed together. Tonight I lost two hours of work to fix the scrambled lines.
I've had the same problem syncing between two systems on a few occasions now. One is running ChromiumOS, the other is through Chrome on a Windows7 machine. I'd get a jumbled mess of text, some of it having been deleted prior to switching to the other machine.
Additionally, I'm only seen this happen on the Main Workspace. Never seen it hit one of my other workspaces, which are synced via GDrive. Perhaps it's a problem with how it syncs or updates IndexedDB/LocalStorage data between multiple machines/browsers?
I seen this happen on my Main Workspace and also CouchDB Workspace. Seems like this is a bug and you can use the History feature on the right sidebar to restore it to the last working version.
Why not use an third party service like Google docs if this is for personal use?
This happened to me quite a few times and every time I had to go through comparisons and fix things manually. I use multiple computers at home and switching between them quite often. This does sound a bug in stackedit. I hope this can be fixed as soon as possible.
This is still occurring to me.
For several months, I've noticed this happen on a small scale.
However it just happened to me again this week, and on a much larger scale. It essentially destroyed an entire document I spent a good amount of time on.
It seems to be when switching between versions of linux (mint and arch os) and then back to windows (windows 10), is when it's more likely to happen.
This could be a deal-breaker for using StackEdit. At least for anything except work that doesn't need to be backed up. Bummer. I wonder if this is a fixable issue?
