Add search to project owner landing page
We should add a search to the project owner landing page: https://fromthepage.com/mountauburncemetery
I don't know if it should be one or two searches. Maybe the equivalent of the collection search where you can search titles or across the text? It would need to be across all of the (public?) collections.
I do like the idea of having a project owner search, but I think a couple of things are important to the decision:
- How many collections do project owners have on average? What's the largest amount that owners have? How common is that? If a substantial amount of owners have an amount of projects that are easy to scroll over and take in, I don't think adding a search would be worth it. If enough owners have too many projects for that, I like the idea of adding a search.
- How much traffic does the project owner page have? It shows up on the Find a Project page & its search, but only in conjunction with collections.
- In the long term with searches, do we want to continue having searches on separate pages for each place that you can search, or do we want to combine them into one "search" page/bar (like Transkribus has). This is related to the last one -- if the project owner page doesn't have much traffic, but we do think its search would be useful, we could think of another more trafficked place to present it to users.
As for the question of one or two searches, I definitely think we should make it consistent with the collection search -- with two search bars. However, aesthetically, I prefer one search bar with some sort of option (i.e. dropdown) between text, title, or metadata search. I think that would be a little more straightforward to users, and more consistent with how I've seen searches in general on the Internet.
Developing this shouldn't take much effort, as it would be quite similar to the collection search and we could replicate the logic there. The most effort would probably be in the search results UI.
