W3 May Remove Seamless IFrames

Open kaleb opened this issue 11 years ago • 2 comments

From the latest HTML5 definition, W3 said that <iframe seamless> is in danger of being dropped. This is probably not the best place to share your information, but I really like what you have done with DISQUS, and figured you have a wider audience than I do.

The following features are at risk and may be removed due to lack of implementation.

  • <hgroup>
  • <command> and commands API
  • <menu> and context menus feature (“contextmenu” attribute)
  • Application Cache
  • <dialog>
  • <details> and <summary>
  • <input type=color>
  • <input type=datetime>, <input type=month>, <input type=week>, <input type=time>, <input type=datetime-local>
  • <output>
  • <style scoped>
  • <iframe seamless>
  • Custom scheme and content handlers (registerProtocolHandler and registerContentHandler)
  • Outline algorithm
  • UA mechanism for navigating to resources linked to in cite="", see Bug 18915 for more.

Leaving this ticket up for educational purposes :)

But I've addressed this in the README.
