Can I just designate areas for maps instead of manually picking out spots? (Selfhosted)

Eg, I want to create my own world map, can I not just pick "Everywhere" or some such and and have it automatically draw 5 locations from that?

Or if I could just specify "x country" and have it do that?

Clicking on locations one by one on the street-level to add it to the map in incredibly time consuming.

alternatively: can I just import community made maps? I am hosting on my own network and I do not potentially want to lead family to websites outside of my network while playing this.
