Volumes significantly lower when MWM Service starts

Open sdemills opened this issue 12 years ago • 6 comments

The notification volumes (all of them: ring tone, SMS tone, alarm tone, etc) are significantly lower and difficult to hear once the MWM Service is started. On stopping the Service they instantly return to normal.

Samsung Galaxy S2 running ICS.

Here's a clue - it is being caused by the Auto SpeakerPhone option. If I turn that off then all is well.

Should be fixed by the above commit (release 1.17.1)

I've had another report of this happening, so reopening

For me that original fix never did work. I just gave up and switched off the auto-loudspeaker option and that solves it ok.

Thanks for reopening it after our discussion on G+

I understand the previous fix was to not enable the auto speakerphone on startup. And I can confirm that the volumes are not lowered initially. But they are still lowered on/after the first incoming phone call, if the auto speakerphone feature is enabled. For now I have disabled it, but am still waiting for an incoming call to verify... :)
