Suggestion - Button to toggle between grid/list

I love the grid view, it looks fantastic, however sometimes a list serves me better, or would server a viewer of a public list better.

I'd love if there was a way to keep the same grid/list default, but add a button up top or in the top right corner to let the logged in user or visitor via public link toggle between grid/list, but if they leave an come back to the page it will still go to the default that the author of the collection has set in its settings page there.

This would allow fast, on the fly switching for preference at any given moment, but still able to have a nice grid (or list) display by default every time we come back to the page
