Does this tool really need built-in spying by google?

Seems like the tool author probably wanted to know if people were actually using it, and how many. That would help them decide if they wanted to spend more time improving it or keeping it up to date. I think that's reasonable, given the tool is given out for free.

That said, I noticed the latest version (2018-03-15) removed google analytics, so maybe you got your wish? But the last feature release was also 2017-12, so, there's that.
