Category grouping

There are a ton of categories available, and I'm thinking offering them as groups for matching might make sense in some cases. For instance, everything related to non-monogamy and kink would be ideal. Perhaps even using these groups to give a bigger picture view of the user ("This person is likely kinky based").

I'm moving slowly on this one because it'd mean a change to the questions data structure. I'll save it for when I have a bunch of time to do it, so I don't have to stop in the middle and end up confused.

That's a long list. It might merely add complexity. But @CobeyHS is moving in the right direction, given the obliqueness of most OKC questions and their available responses. @benjaffe Have you approached OKC with the offer of a package of more specifically poly-relevant Q&As -- which I'm sure this community would willingly generate -- in return for a promise to give these Q&As more prominence, move them up front? Certainly, from a poly-dating point of view, it would make as much sense as questions about helping foreigners find their way around town or "What would you do with a million dollars?" !

I haven't spoken to anyone from OkCupid, ever, about this plugin, or future functionality. I feel a small amount of hesitance doing so. The only reason this plugin is possible is that OkC doesn't rate-limit requests for html files (either generously, or more likely, accidentally). That's the only way I can fetch the data, since they don't have an API. My fear is that if I approach them, they'll turn on rate-limiting for html file requests, making the plugin much slower, and therefore, much less usable.

This is the first time I've publicly outlined this thought. I don't plan to get in touch with the OkC team for this reason. If anyone from the OkCupid team reads this and wants to get in touch, please do -- I'd love to chat!
