Single Map not centring on pin.

Open jamblo opened this issue 12 years ago • 4 comments

Hi there

Using this code in my single loop:

The map is showing up OK, but it is centred on the default centre point, as set in the WP GEO options. If I drag the map to the location, the pin is there, but it is not centring on the correct place onload.

Here are my settings:

wp geo options wee break midlothian wordpress

Here's how the edit panel looks:

Any help appreciated! I've used exactly the same settings and version of WP/WPGEO on another site and it all works fine. Very confusing!

Thanks, James

Oh, and I've mentioned this before: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-geo-bizarre-archive-page-map-and-widget-issue?replies=4

This is still the case. Without the WP Category Map widget in place, the Archive map doesn't load.

This is working for me as expected in version 3.3.3 - can you confirm wether you are using this version?

The map should display as per your screen grab. Then you can drag the map so the point is not centred as per the image below. It should then save in that position when you save the post. Is that not happening for you?

Ah, I think you might still be using the Google API v2? Please check your WP Geo Settings.

If you are you should switch the WP Geo settings to use the v3 api as Google are stopping support for v2 and it will be removed completely in a future version of WP Geo.

Does switching to Google Maps v3 API fix your issue?
