Hi @twio142 ! Thanks for the PR.

Strictly out of curiosity -- what do you think about having this feature toggleable with a Boolean option, to cover users who have nvim-web-devicons available but don't want icons here? But if you don't think it's going to be an issue, feel free to say no.
