Have you actually identified a performance problem? Can you share some benchmarks you ran? Or some problems you encountered?
My guess is that there is no permission check before moving the channel, just moving it and if it results in a permission error, you didn't have the permission.
I've had success by disabling X11 access using flatseal, not sure if it's related or fixed by other things I messed around with while checking this bug. 
With the change above, the main window consistently appears, but other windows don't. Another workaround it to revert back to X11 by setting the environment variable `QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb`.
